Duck Eggs

Our happy healthy ducks spend their days free ranging in our orchard and vineyard within 2000sqft of electric poultry netting to ensure their safety while basking in the sun, foraging for bugs, eating greens and bathing in the sprinklers. They are an excellent companion animal for our fruit trees and grape vines because they help to control pests and provide fertilizer without scratching and disturbing the ground like a chicken would.

We rotate their fencing between different sections of the orchard and vineyard so they always have access to fresh bugs and grass. The are accompanied by two African Geese Ganders who keep watch over their girls day and night to be sure they’re safe from land and areal predators.

We are currently raising a small flock of Golden 300 hens which lay large white eggs with thick durable shells and large rich yolks.

They are fed:
