Erica

Erica has called Idaho home since 2012 but has dreamed about being a farmer since she was a little girl growing up in Alaska. While playing with her toy farm set, she would dream of riding horses, milking the animals, tending to the garden and watching the chickens. Needless to say, this whole farm business is all Erica’s fault and a total dream come true. Unfortunately, like many aspiring farmers, society convinced her that it wasn’t a respectable or worth while occupation so she focused her ambitions on a college education. Erica purchased her first investment property at age 19 after entering the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant, later becoming a Nurse. She spent nearly 17 years working full-time in medicine finishing out her resume as a home health & hospice nurse. She & her husband, Jason, are now Licensed Realtors, Real Estate Investors & passionate Farmers. Their commitment to Real Estate has afforded them the opportunity to farm on their own schedule and spend more time with family. Erica still has a passion for health and wellness which is the driving force behind everything on the farm from the animal husbandry, to the feed to the weed management; everything matters. She now spends much of her day on the farm with the animals and that makes her heart happy. She still does not have the horses that she has long dreamed of but that opportunity is right around the corner.

Jason

Jason has lived in Idaho most of his life. After graduating high school he joined the Airforce where her served 8 years as a medic in charge of the Ambulance service on the Fairchild Airforce Base in Spokane, WA. For the 6 years following his service, he worked alongside his father who owns a local commercial heating & cooling company; American Chiller Service. The experience he gained through his time in the Airforce and as project manager for ACS equipped him with the skills necessary to become a successful Realtor selling new construction homes for one of the Treasure Valley’s largest and most reputable builders. While he enjoyed his work, he missed his wife and his life at home. He then left new construction to join his wife in their business Rebalance Realty. This single decision has made all the difference in making their farm dreams come true. After small-scale homesteading on a 1/4 acre property in Boise, ID, they bought their 5 acre farm in Emmett, ID in November 2020 and haven’t looked back since. Together, they continue to serve their Real Estate clients throughout the Treasure Valley but are able to share the responsibilities of both Real Estate and the farm in perfect harmony allowing them more time with each other and the farm. Jason often looks out at his of the pasture and the foothills and says, “I’m so happy we bought this farm. There is no where else I’d rather be.”

The Help

Family means everything. This is why we do what we do; for our family and for yours. We’re grateful to have a family that loves the farm as much as we do. On most weekends, you’ll find us gathered at the farm to work on various projects and share meals together. One of the busiest helpers is my niece, Vira; pictured here. She loves the baby goats and I think the feeling is mutual.
